Currently serving as Executive Director at Ascentium, Mr. Marco Förster has supported numerous Swiss companies in their expansion across Southeast Asia, with deep expertise in market intelligence and corporate compliance. Based in Hanoi, he brings over a decade of on-the-ground experience in Asia since 2014. He is also a familiar voice at Swiss economic forums, regularly sharing insights on Vietnam and ASEAN opportunities with chambers of commerce in Basel, St. Gallen, Winterthur and Thurgau. He was also a keynote speaker for the APAC track at the Swiss International Trade Forum and has been engaged with the Swiss-Viet Economic Forum since the Da Nang Forum 2025. In addition to his advisory work, he co-publishes with Switzerland Global Enterprise, lectures in the EHL–CEIBS EMBA program, also has been featured in leading international publications including The Economist, Financial Times and Bloomberg. His client portfolio spans Swiss government agencies, multinational corporations such as UBS and Richemont, as well as a wide range of SMEs expanding across Asia.
